First, when Fusion particles are screened airborne dust is removed through forced air filtration. Second, in the final processing stage Fusion particles are coated with a microscopic layer of organic, vegetable-based oil. The end result is a product with virtually no dust and superior flowability.

Duration CR® Polymer Coated Urea

Duration CR is the latest advancement in polymer coated urea technology, offering the professional turfgrass manager a superior combination of performance and flexibility. Duration CR's innovative coating technology selectively allows soil moisture to diffuse through the polymer membrane, gradually dissolving the encapsulated urea fertilizer. The liquefied urea solution then passes through the membrane into the soil at a rate closely matched to turf nitrogen demand. Advanced Nutrient Technology

The chemical composition of different fertilizer ingredients has a very important influence on their suitability for use on quality turf. Take oxide based nutrients as an example. Many fertilizer manufacturers choose iron oxide and magnesium oxide because they are inexpensive and meet the minimum requirements of the Canada Fertilizer Act. But oxide fertilizers are sparingly soluble, and as a result, are simply not readily available as plant food in the short to medium term.

Fusion fairway fertilizers incorporate K-Mag Premium ® , a naturally occurring mineral with combined potassium sulfate and magnesium sulfate. Though K-Mag Premium may be somewhat more expensive as a source of magnesium, it is far superior to oxide based products. Unlike magnesium oxide, K-Mag Premium is completely water soluble and plant available, for a rapid magnesium response. In addition, it contains potassium in the low-salt sulfate form and has no impact on soil pH.

Iron oxide is also widely used in fertilizer blends because it is inexpensive and has a very high iron analysis. But all Fusion fairway fertilizers use iron sulfate because, like K-Mag Premium, it water soluble and is more rapidly available as a plant food nutrient. In addition, iron sulfate has a lower analysis than iron oxide, resulting in more particles applied per square foot for superior application uniformity.
