By replacing time consuming and costly spray applications of individual micronutrients M-KoTE dispersible technology is more convenient without sacrificing effectiveness. And since granular fertilizer applications meet little resistance from the golfing public, misguided concerns over spray applications are easily avoided. Finally, because M-KoTE technology is dispersed uniformly, it won't stain cart paths or concrete.
CrK PotassiumPotassium is one of the most difficult nutrients to manage, particularly in the calcareous sand soils common to constructed greens in Western Canada . The low Cation Exchange Capacity of these soils have few exchange sites on which the potassium cation can "hold". Moreover, naturally high levels of soluble calcium in these soils constantly out-compete potassium for room on those same soil exchange sites. And available potassium is subject to high rates of removal when turfgrass clippings are removed from greens. It all adds up to chronic potassium deficiencies coupled with high rates of potassium leaching. Fertility practices have adapted to this problem and spoon feeding potassium with frequent fertilizer applications is now the accepted norm. Though somewhat effective, soils are still subject to the peaks and valleys that result from high rates of leaching following a potassium fertilizer application. And these repeated applications can be costly. CrK, a unique controlled release form of potassium sulfate, is an integral component of every Fusion greens grade fertilizer. It is one of the few micro-sized controlled release potassium products available, a perfect fit with other exceptionally small Fusion fertilizer particles. CrK actually spoon feeds for you, releasing uniformly over a period of 8-12 weeks and delivering a constant supply of potassium that would otherwise be subject to leaching. Not only is it more convenient, CrK can actually create turf that is healthier and more stress resistant by improving potassium nutrient use efficiency.
AminoUrea and PSCSU NitrogenFusion greens-grade fertilizers are available with two very different, highly effective controlled release nitrogen products; Aminourea and Fusion PCSCU. Both are excellent products but have different chemical properties and different release characteristics. Aminourea is derived from conventional methylene urea technology, but is manufactured to have some very unique characteristics. First, Aminourea contains a greater combined fraction of Hot Water Soluble Nitrogen (HWSN) and Water Soluble Controlled Release Nitrogen (WSCRN), the forms of slow release nitrogen that are available in the year of application. Aminourea also has a lower portion of immediately soluble urea nitrogen. This results in a very efficient, slowly release nitrogen fertilizer that offers performance characteristics between that of traditional methylene urea and urea formaldehyde. Fusion PCSCU is manufactured by coating technical grade urea with a microscopic coating of molten sulfur. To preserve the product's release properties, Fusion PCSCU is then treated with a protective polymer coating. Being very small and dense, it fits perfectly with our other high quality fertilizer ingredients. Fusion PCSCU performs very well under cooler soil temperature conditions, offering 8-10 weeks of uniform nitrogen response and deep-green color.
Integrated Turf NutritionIntegrated Turf Nutrition (ITN), our comprehensive system of applied agronomics, elevates Fusion to a completely new level of performance-driven customer service. In short, ITN bases nutrient applications on an independent program of soil, tissue and irrigation water analysis. The agronomic test results are then used to manufacture superior quality Fusion greens-grade fertilizers to meet the specific nutrient requirements of your turf. ITN ensures that your agronomic needs are paramount and puts and end to the inefficiencies and guesswork inherent with pre-packaged fertilizer programs.
